I had a [Other Brand] that I couldn't stand anymore: noisy, humongous mic yet tinny LCD lettering, and lack of remembering last channel when restarting the Jeep. The Johnny fixes all those fails and then some more. The sound quality is HAM quality. Outstanding. Also, very small and easy to mount - I have mine sandwiched between the passenger's seat and the center console. The unit never gets hot (it's a CB, so it's only 4Watts), so a tight fit won't hurt it. The mic is light and fits my mic mount perfectly...
